Set in East Bali overlooking the Lombok Strait, Amankila, or ‘peaceful hill’, is a cliff-side beach resort backed by the sacred Mount Agung. 34 suites with breathtaking sea views are connected by elevated walkways winding through frangipani and tuberoses to the resort’s three-tiered pool and other facilities.

The resort is close to Manggis, Candi Dasa, Tenganan and other villages in Karangasem, the most culturally rich of all Bali’s regencies.

Below the resort is its private stretch of beach with eight private lounging bales set along the sand. Sailboats and other water-sports equipment are provided. The Beach Club is set just behind the beach in a shaded coconut grove, and offers a 41m lap pool and a restaurant.
