The Hotel Hacienda is located in the north-eastern part of the island, at the heart of a wild natural protected area. It was built on top of a cliff, 180 m above the sea level and surrounded by a Mediterranean pine tree forest and different types of plants and flowers.

Everything has been done to create harmony between the outside and the inside: patios,
arches, galleries, plants, white architecture and the entrance as a great Ibicencan property.

History of the Hacienda Na Xamena

In the late sixties, Ibiza was very far from its current image and atmosphere. The “Ibicencos” lived isolated from the world, with only one ship to the peninsula per week. Slowly though, artists and hippies looking for a truthful lifestyle closer to nature, got interested in the “Pearl of the Balearic Islands”.

Daniel Lipszyc, Belgian architect and his wife, fell in love with this true and natural Ibiza.
They started in 1969 the construction of the Hotel Hacienda Na Xamena, a hotel of quality and of great comfort, perfectly integrated into the landscape, protecting the surrounding nature. It was a real pioneer job, as there were neither roads, water, electricity nor telephone lines. Taking advantage of the infrastructure implemented for the hotel, the housing estate Na Xamena was created nearby.
The Hacienda Na Xamena hotel opened in 1971.

In 1988, the hotel was awarded with a fifth star and became the most quoted hotel on the island, Characterized by its discreet luxury, its distinguished but familiar atmosphere and its helpful service. As years went by, the hotel has confirmed its reputation through its guests. Famous people have been staying at the hotel, some to show off but most of them to hide in this exclusive atmosphere.
